Individual and Team Profiling and Assessment:
We primarily use two profiling/assessment tools:
- The "Team Management Profile" from Team Management Services
The TMP profiles the kind of roles people prefer to play in groups and teams. It provides individual and team-levels of analysis of:
- personal strengths and weaknesses
- other team members' strengths and weaknesses
- a team's overall strengths and weaknesses
We use the TMP because:
- It is extensively researched and proven with a database of over 150,000 respondents
- It can be used as a stand alone team development tool or as part of a Learning and Development programme.
- The reports are easy to understand.
- They are cost effective
- They can be completed on-line

2. The "Leadership Behaviours Profile" (again from TMS) for 360 Degree Assessments
The LBP focuses on leadership behaviours, however it is relevant across many positions in the organisation and people can relate easily to the behaviours described.
We use the LBP because:

It is highly reliable and measures eight factors to provide feedback to a leader on their behavioural effectiveness.

The factors are based on contemporary leadership thinking and research.

It is well received by users because of its perceived validity and usefulness.
- A non-managerial version is also available. The Team Member version uses the same leadership model but does not assume that the person being assessed has direct supervision of other people.
- The reports are in simple language and easy to understand.
- They are cost effective
- They can be completed on-line
